I love The Glass Menagerie for Sound assignments. There are two sounds the script calls for that I think are particularly â propos. The first is where Williams indicates the use of music during Tom’s first speech right before he says “The play is memory.” The second one isf the sound at the end of the first scene where Williams provides readers with the stage direction: “MUSIC: ‘THE GLASS MENAGERIE’ UNDER FAINTLY,” also used at the very end of the scene.

It was an intersting project for all of our designers, but I was suprised by the inttricasy of the sound design. 2 acts 3 actors, mulitple settings including a theater during rehearsal, a sea side, a nursery. There is a storm, ghostly breezes, footsteps and a dog. (heard not seen)
