[Usittne] nominations needed for Chair of Section

Nominations are needed for the position of Chair and Vice-Chair of the USITT New England Section.  

Dear members of the NE section.  I have been your chair since 1997.  I have tried my best to keep us involved and active to the best of my ability.  In these past 13 years many new initiatives and partnerships have been formed, some successful and others not so much.   Here is a look back at some of our accomplishments:

-        Our first website at www.usittne.org
-        Our own listserve
-        Posting and advertising members portfolios on the website
-        Establishing programming with the New England Theater Conference - 2000 to 2003 
-        Established a Greater Boston Student Chapter - lasted one year
-        Established two awards and other events at the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival Region I that continue to be awarded
-        Promoted and developed the REPA Job Expo with StageSource and other transient partners that continues on successfully to date
-        Created a few workshops and theater tours
-        Established the annual BBQ 
 
Now I look to the future and realize I have run out of energy and ideas so I am submitting my resignation.   It is time for new leadership and I look to you to nominate yourself, or others (with their permission of course) for the position of Chair of USITT New England Section.    I hope also to have nominations for the Vice-Chair position.    Officers must be members of USITT (national) to be eligible.  
     Please email me your nomination and a short bio for me to send out to our members by March 1st.   We will hold elections at the National Conference in Kansas City. Those who cannot attend will be given and opportunity to vote in advance.
