Position: Draper
The Costume Shop at Emerson College, Performing Arts Department is looking for a Draper for their 2010-2011 season.
>From September 15th 2010 to April 30th 2011. 
Duties include:
-Collaborate with Costume Shop staff
-Participate in weekly specs and meetings
-Work with the designers to determine construction approach
-Develop patterns for build costume pieces
-Determine fabric yardage need
-Supervise student drapers
-Layout and cut patterns
-Disseminate the build load
-Oversee fittings to ensure integrity of concept and construction
-Attend first dress rehearsal
-Attend to the notes during Tech week
This is a temp-help position; pay rate will be commensurate with experience.
BFA/MFA in costumes a plus plus 3-5 years of technical experience.
The season includes 15 weeks in the fall and 15 in the Spring, 25 hrs pr/week.
