Here is a TD job for a summer camp in Maine, I'm posting for a  
friend.  I don't know anything about the particulars, but it might be  
a gig for a young TD/Designer who is interested in independent work,  
but not yet ready for a bigger environment--who also likes kids.  I've  
cut and pasted from the original attachment because I don't know if

Technical Director

The technical director assists the director with all aspects of  
production related to scenery, sound, lighting and props.


Must have ability to design, construct, paint, repair and modify sets  
and props.


Must have ability to source and order supplies.


Must be familiar with basic lighting techniques for theater.


Must keep the shop organized and ensure the safe and secure storage of  
sets, props and supplies.


Must  enjoy working with children in a fast-paced environment.


The ideal candidate will be creative, resourceful, and function well  
under pressure.



The technical director is part of the HHC team that works with a  
different set of campers each week to present a show to the whole  
camp; there are 7 shows in a summer.  You will work with the director  
to design the technical elements for each show.  As a member of this  
team, you are expected to assist in any way needed to mount each show.


The HHC staff work days and evenings, Monday through Saturday, and  
have every Sunday off; June 15 - August 18, 2009.


Salary $2000. – 2300. plus room/board and transportation allowance.
