[Usittne] Orchestra Pit Covers

Getting back to the original question....The only OSHA rule I know of 
(or find in a quick search of their web site), standard #1910, "Walking 
and working surfaces," specifically excludes " the exposed perimeters of 
entertainment stage, rail station platforms."

If there's a new rule, or interpretation, I'd love to hear about it.

That said, building code railing requirements may give local authorities 
a basis to ask for nets. As may venue insurers. Or any of us, given a 
reasonable assessment of civil liabilities.
