I would like to chime in here as someone who participated as a workshop presenter which was my first time at a festival.  Much of design and tech work that was presented was really excellent, and the students were very responsive in their interactions - it was really fun, and I'd encourage those of you who have not been involved before to get involved next year.

I'd also like to compliment Chase and all those involved in the organization of the program who really did a great job with a very complex project.

I want to congratulate the winners of the USITT New England sponsored awards at the Region I Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival.

This year the winners of the USITT New England award in Technical/Craftsmanship were:

1st Place Lauren Duffy, Keene State College, Show: The Rolling Collections

2nd Place Marissa Jesus, Emmanuel College, Show: The Frogs

Honorary Mention Dean Palmer, Southern Connecticut State University, Show: A Midsummer Night's Dream

The winners of the Tech Olympics were:

1st place:  Michael Altieri
2nd place: Jamie Steffan
3rd place:  Victoria Church

Congratualtions to the great work of everyone involved especially those who made everything happen. There were many volunteers and workshop leaders involved in all aspects of the festival and it could not have happened without you.  
I would like to give an extra special thanks to:

John Devlin
Rafael Jaen
Elinor Parker
Eric Cornwell
and Luke Sutherland
for being outstanding Chairs, vice chairs and 2nd vice chairs of the design/tech events.   I know how hard you worked to pull this off.  Well done!
