[Usittne] fake neon?

Another option to consider would be electroluminescent wire (EL wire), 
especially if Neoflex proves too expensive.  One vendor we've used is 
coolneon.com .  Tech Expo '07 catalog has an article that illustrates 
installing el wire in vinyl tube to increase its apparent size, though 
depending on circumstances it may work fine on its own.  It's a little 
fussy to work with--requires inexpensive driver electronics, can be 
difficult to solder leads, and can only run off the light board using a 
non-dim....
