TCU Department of Theatre invites applications for an accomplished
Scenic Designer and dynamic teacher of Design, for a retirement
replacement, full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Theatre.
The TCU undergraduate theatre program offers the BFA and BA degrees in a
liberal arts curriculum and seeks a collaborative colleague who is an
outstanding classroom teacher, mentor and designer.  Position begins
August, 2008.  Qualifications: Terminal degree (MFA or Ph.D), or
significant professional experience, required.  Minimum of 3-5 years
university teaching experience preferred. Professional theatre
experience in design is also highly desirable. Required Duties: Regular
teaching of various undergraduate courses in design which may include
Theatre Graphics, Rendering, Scene Design, Scene Painting, Props Design,
among others.  Regular design assignments of plays and musicals from all
periods in the Theatre TCU season, and frequent mentoring of student
scenic designers will occur.  Preferred Specialties:  scene painting,
rendering, CAD proficiency, undergraduate mentoring and recruiting.
