A question. . . Does your actor know how to spin?
Do you know what sort of wheel you are looking for?

I have a smaller "household" maple wheel modern (but simply being a treadle wheel makes it look period) of Austrailian  manufacture.  I just don't have any roving, or between now and then the time to teach someone to spin.   Roving can be purchased on line.   Or there is a wonderful shop in Warner NH- you would pass it on your way to pick up the wheel.
