listed both the general internships and some specific staff positions
that are available annually.  We certainly look forward to welcoming

INTERNSHIPS

Contract runs from June 2 - August 14, 2007. All Playhouse internships
are paid positions.

 

Saint Michael's Playhouse is a professional Equity CORST theater with a
fully equipped, air-conditioned, 366-seat, proscenium theater on college
campus, producing four shows INTO THE WOODS, EDUCATING RITA, BROADWAY
BOUND, SUDS; THE MUSICAL. 

 

Seeking candidates with previously acquired skills in a variety of areas
of theatrical production; Scenic, Costumes, Props, Electrics, and/or
Stage Management. Interns work closely with professional supervisors,
designers, staff and equity actors. Duties will include daytime work
crews and evening running crews.

TECHNICAL DIRECTOR

Saint Michael's Playhouse is an equity summer theater with fully
equipped, air-conditioned, 366-seat, proscenium theater on college
campus operating since 1947. Hands-on position organizing and working
with a shop staff of Scene Shop Supervisor, Master Carpenter, and shop
interns. Duties include cost analysis, drafting, materials
specification, build, load-in, maintenance of set, strike, load-out, and
shop maintenance. Must be proficient in CAD and manual drafting,
construction, rigging, and production scheduling. Two week build per
production. INTO THE WOODS, EDUCATING RITA, BROADWAY BOUND, SUDS.

experience, knowledge of costume construction, and strong organizational
skills. Hands-on position with duties that include managing shop,
building, shopping, maintaining costumes, supervising and training

MASTER ELECTRICIAN

maintaining and executing lighting design, setup, hang, focus and
changeovers as well as running crew responsibilities. Work with Lighting
Designers, TD, ATD, and staff.  Seeking candidates with a high level of
expertise in electrics.  Early June - Mid August. Two week build per
