Assistant Theater Technical Supervisor
City of Mesa
Mesa, AZ
ASSISTANT THEATER TECHNICAL SUPERVISOR
$43,846 - $59,114 Annually


Duties:

A Mesa Arts Center (MAC) Assistant Theater Technical Supervisor is
responsible for 
assisting the MAC Theater Technical Supervisor in all aspects of
backstage operations to 
ensure safety of performers and crew. This includes conducting
periodic safety inspections 
and inventory of facilities and equipment.


The Assistant Theater Technical Supervisor also coordinates and
advances performances and 
events while ensuring all technical and logistical needs are properly
attended to. Other 
duties include supervising and participating in the rigging and strike
of theatrical 
lighting, sound and overall stage set up for a variety of productions
and events 
including: touring and local theatrical productions, symphonies,
operas, dance companies, 
civic light opera, touring pop shows, recitals, country western, big
band, rock and roll, 
and other presentations and productions.


As required, the MAC Assistant Theater Technical Supervisor inspects,
tests, and modifies 
all equipment prior to performance to ensure compliance with all
health and safety codes; 
consults with performers, their representatives and staff on problems
or issues related to 
equipment functions and makes necessary modifications to achieve
desired results; 
assembles or constructs devices to achieve special effects; conducts
and participates in 
professional and safety training sessions; oversees activities and
event set up and 
operation on the Shadow walk and the various performance spaces
throughout the Mesa Arts 
Center. This position will require working irregular hours, evenings,
and weekends. 

Requirements:

Requires any combination of training, education, and experience
equivalent to graduation 
from an accredited college or university with a Bachelors Degree in
Theater, Technical 
Theater, or related field with good (1 - 3 years) experience related
to technical systems 
used in support of stage productions and related events. Six (6)
months supervisory 
experience and experience working closely with non profit resident
companies is preferred. 
Must possess a valid Arizona Drivers License by hire date.

Patron Services Manager - Phoenix Theatre, Phoenix's oldest and largest
professional resident theatre company, seeks a self-motivated, highly
organized Patron Services Manager. The successful candidate will work
with the entire staff to ensure the smooth operation and management of
all box office, front of house and concessions operations. The
incumbent will be in a leadership position with responsibilities
including management of all ticket sales and concessions revenue,

sales reports, staffing all patron services departments and managing
