Please join me in a round of applause for Cosmo, Maia, and Nate, our 
tour guides and hosts on our top to bottom tour of the New Williams 
College Theater Facilities.  Over a dozen intrepid theater explorers 
got a detailed tour of the "62 Center and  its 3 theaters, studios, 
shops, grids,mechanical rooms and FOH facilities.  We ooohed and 
aahed over the twin 24 foot square  sound doors between the "Grey" 
Box theater and the daylighted lobby and the Windows that light the 
space up from the opposite wall. (shades can close them down for 
normal theater troglodyte life).  We were impressed by  incredible 
flexibility of the space with its gondolas rolling from the grid and 
its double-decker  stage elevator that allows the audience risers to 
be easily struck down into the spacious trap room. We also explored 
the two proscenium theaters.  Lively discussions ensued, USITT swag 
was shared and friendships were renewed.  The foliage and the day 
were glorious!
