Jeff,

I haven't seen it in the Obits either. But several people have reported it
and it is posted on the Stage Source web site, Included in that report is
the statement that "Colleagues of the Office for the Arts at Harvard
informed StageSource that no further details were available at this time".
I think this sadly confirms Alan's death.

One of the e-mails I saw said (in part):

There has been a website set up by a former Harvard Alumnus, David
Feldman, to post any stories or thoughts you would like in remembrance
of Alan.  I have been asked to pass this information along to friends
and colleagues -

Hi all,

Can anyone verify this report?  I have been watching the Obits in the
Globe and Herald all week and have not seen a death notice for Alan.
My hope is that this report is in error.
