The New England Theatre Conference (NETC), the premiere Northeast 
regional's non-profit organization founded in 1952 by the legendary 
Boston drama critic Elliot Norton, announces a spectacular weekend of 
programming and awards.  

 From November 10-13, 2005 the luxurious Sheraton Colonial Hotel and 
Golf Club in Wakefield, MA. will play host to theatre enthusiasts 
from all over New England and New York.  Easily accessible from 
Routes 95/128, the convention offerings are designed to offer the 
actor, dancer, auditionee, director, designer and audience enthusiast 
an exciting array of Master Classes, workshops and celebrations. 
Participants from five Divisional areas including Professional, 
College, Community, Secondary and Children's Theatre are preparing 
programming in support of this  year's convention theme, THE ART OF 
MAKING ART - PUTTING IT TOGETHER.

To highlight just a few of the Convention offerings:

4th Annual Olympiad events for High School students
Over 50 workshops to choose from for educators, professionals, 
collegiate and secondary students, youth and all levels of theatre 
enthusiasts
Numerous free performances for registered conference guests
Trade show featuring a multitude of theatrical publishing, technology 
and equipment vendors- see the newest industry offerings!
College Fair opportunities - talk with representatives from some of 
the area's finest theater training programs and see what your future 
may hold!
Illustrious theatrical performers and contributors to receive awards 
at Saturday evening's Annual Awards Banquet
2005 NETC Major Award Honoree - Ms Betsy Palmer, star of theatre, 
film and television.  Ms. Palmer will also be the special guest 
speaker for the Annual Sunday Morning Brunch at 11:00AM.
2005 NETC Special Award Honoree - Keith Johnstone, actor, director, 
author, playwright and inventor of many new forms of improvisation, 
including Theatresports, Micetro Impro, Gorilla Theatre and The Life 
Game.
2005  NETC Special Award Honoree - Laurence Maslon, co-author with 
Michael Kantor of the companion coffee table book to the six-part PBS 
hit documentary series Broadway: The American Musical on PBS, fall 
2004.
2005 NETC Regional Award Honorees include :
