COSTUME SHOP SUPERVISOR OF THE ROBSHAM THEATER ARTS CENTER, Boston College



Responsible for providing support and supervision for all activities that take place in the costume shop; will have the overall responsibility for the proper and safe operation of all equipment located in the costume shop and dressing rooms.  Related duties include; supervision of all costume shop technicians and insuring that all costume designs for the six major productions are realized in accordance with the specifications set forth by the Costume Designer. Additionally, the supervisor will be responsible for determining the feasibility of the design in light of the capabilities of the costume shop. Requires: At least a bachelor degree, MFA in costuming desirable,  and two years work experience.  Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills as well as skills in the area of cutting, draping, pattern making, garment construction, crafts construction, and fabric dying.
