[Usittne] "Fire Box" Trick for "Pippin"

Hi Jeff,
attached is a pic of one I built for Concord Youth Theatre a couple of
years ago

The base contained a strong fan and small red, orange, yellow lamps.
The front was two sheets of plexiglass separated by about two inches,
The front sheet of plexi had the black "negative space" flame shapes painted on.
In back of the black shapes were pins spanning the distance between
the 2 sheets of plexi.
Attached to these pins were hanging pieces of mylar.
The fan was sealed in such a way that the air current passed only
betseen the two sheets of plexi.
At start of the effect the fan turned on and blew the mylar into
flicker mode - the programmed lamps did the rest.
The "door" to the box was on the side.
