Hi Russ,
For the set of 1940's Radio Days, which was all executed as a drawing in shades of gray, black & white, I drew the phone on a piece of luan I cut out.  It had to have a coin inserted, so I included that.

So, if worst comes to worst you should be able to do that.  I suspect that someone on this list will have such a phone, however.

BTW, my theatrical design practice is growing.  So far in 2005 I have completed 3 productions and have 5 more scheduled for the remainder of the year.  So I am keeping pretty busy.  I am also working on a new theatre facility for Caldwell Theatre Company and one of the theatres I am doing design work for this summer has had me consulting---however, I would say that something like 10% of my advice has been taken.  It will not be an easy place to work, unfortunately.
