[Urban South Asia] Next Wendesday Meet 2.30-4.30 p.m.

Dear All:

We will meet for our final session this semester next WEDNESDAY 28 May
from 2.30 to 4.30 p.m. in MIT E51-185 to discuss Janaki Nair's The
Promise of the Metropolis: Bangalore's Twentieth Century. The text is up

Please note the time change to the afternoon, as I have to catch a
flight to DC that evening and several have indicated that a late lunch
meeting suits them. If you haven't already done so, please let me know
if you plan to come so I can order food accordingly. 

Also note on the site that we have added supplementary texts to the post
on Representing Calcutta, in response to the discussion of the work of
Sudipta Kaviraj and Dipesh Chakrabatrty on public space in Bengal, which
are linked as PDFs. 

Please let me know if you have any suggestions for supplementary texts
to read with Janaki Nair's book on Bangalore and I will try to find and
digitize them before next week's meeting. See you then.
