Hi shekhar!
Good to know we are back. I am looking forward to participating with more
vigor now that I am back in Boston. I looked at the site and its looks much
clearer and there is a real narrative there that is easy to follow.
By the way I am reviewing Making Lahore modern ...hwat do you think of it?
Thanks for putting all the dates of meetings on the site. Do we meet in the
same room? Can I just come along?
Best TS

Dear All:
Our workshop and reading group on cities in South Asia, which has been
meeting occasionally for more than two years at MIT, has revived this
semester. I have consolidated all our previous workshop sessions materials
onto a new web site at:
http://bombayology.net
Please let me know what you think of the new site, and if you can join us
over the next few weeks in our latest set of readings of recently published
histories and ethnographies on Bombay, Calcutta, Lahore and Delhi. We will
be meeting regularly this spring at MIT, see the latest announcement on the
site.
Best,
S.K.
P.S. You may have noticed that our earlier home at
http://urban.media.mit.edu has now been taken over by the Writing Cities
conference in which I am involved. While we continue using the old mailing
list urban-media at mit.edu all of our web content is now at
http://bombayology.net and I will post all future updates there.
