Dear All:

Our workshop and reading group on cities in South Asia, which has been
meeting occasionally for more than two years at MIT, has revived this
semester. I have consolidated all our previous workshop sessions
materials onto a new web site at:

Please let me know what you think of the new site, and if you can join
us over the next few weeks in our latest set of readings of recently
published histories and ethnographies on Bombay, Calcutta, Lahore and
Delhi. We will be meeting regularly this spring at MIT, see the latest
announcement on the site.

http://urban.media.mit.edu has now been taken over by the Writing Cities
conference in which I am involved. While we continue using the old
mailing list urban-media at mit.edu all of our web content is now at
