Good Day,

Last week Red Hat delivered the Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.2 update.
All subscribers to Red Hat Enterprise Linux got the update. Normally
IS&T does not do a Release Project for a Red Hat Update, but RHEL 5.2
contains many important user-visible differences of a sort normally
not delivered until the next major release.

The purpose of this Update Release Project will be to provide
additional testing and documentation to help users cope with the
transition.

Notable New Features

     * Update of Firefox from 1.5 to 3.0 (Actually 3.0 beta 5)
     * Update of Open Office from 2.0 to 2.3.
     * Update of Acrobat Reader from 7.0 to 8.x
     * Update of Evolution from 2.8.0 to 2.12.x
     * Update of Thunderbird from 1.5 to 2.0
     * Updated graphics drivers.
     * Added hotplug docking support for some laptops.
     * Encryption and Security Enhancements

resume support.
     * Various bugfixes and security fixes.
     * Updated device drivers.
