Hello,

There is no formal presentation planned for today. I apologize for the
short notice. However, if you have blocked out the time and you would like
to still get together, I would like to propose that we have a roundtable
discussion on the topic of licensed UNIX support (for the proprietary
Unixes, namely: Solaris, HP Tru64 UNIX and Irix.)

We are in the process of finalizing talks internally and with the vendors
concerning these programs formally offered by the Software Libraries (aka
unix-vms-help). There are some minor issues with the continuation of these
programs that need to be worked out in the next couple of weeks so that we
can make recommendations for FY '05 and beyond.

As far as the meeting itself, just show up at the regular time (1:30 PM)
in room N42-DEMO. I may be a tad late showing up due to the fact that I
have another meeting just prior to the Unis Users meeting. I beg your
indulgence.

If you have the time today, we'd really like to talk face-to-face on this
topic so that we can make our decisions based on what you the users of
these services really want/need. If you have thoughts on the matter and
cannot attend, please send them to me. I can relay these thoughts (or not)
to the attendees.

Looking forward to the June and July meeting dates, there are a couple of
topics that we can persue. Unfortunately, I have personal conflicts with
both dates so we need to either reschedule or have someone run the
meetings in my absence. If you have thoughts on this matter, please reply
directly to me (not to the list).

Regards,
rml
