Subject: [Unified-mailman] clarification of problems M5 and M6

Dear students,
please, note the following clarifications to problems M5 and M6:

M5: the following values of the forces, moment and dimensions should be
used: Q=450kN, We=50kN, Me=200KNm, L=15m, Xe=5m,

M6: a figure is attached to this message that should clarify the
description of the problem. 

Both changes have been added to the problem set and sent to the GTA's
for posting, in case you prefer to download the updated statement.

you do not need the dimensions of the tank, except the depth. As for the
cantilever beams, all you need is  their length and the distance between
them. I'm asking to consider one at the center, far from the corners of
the tank.  The cantilevers are clamped at the bottom of the tank. The
length is given in the figure and the text. With this minimal
information you should be able to solve the problem asked.
