Unified students:
At our weekly Unified staff meeting today, we developed a plan for
the Unified systems problems for the next several weeks that will
smooth-out the workload and provide an opportunity for midcourse
corrections to your work.
PRIOR PLAN:
Water Rocket Analysis (SP3) due Thursday 9/29 by 1pm.
Water Rocket Build/Test (SP4) due Thursday 10/6 by 1pm.
Then two weeks with no systems problems (next systems problem
lecture--Truss Lab--on 10/20).
NEW PLAN:
Water Rocket Analysis (SP3) parts (a) and (b) due by Thursday 9/29 at
1pm in the TA office.
No S/L lecture on Thursday at 1pm--rather we will have a help session
in the student lounge area to go over your algorithms and spreadsheet
implementation. This way everyone can have a working, debugged
spreadsheet to go ahead and complete the latter two parts of SP3.
Water Rocket Analysis (SP3) parts (c) and (d) due by Thursday 10/6 at
1pm in the S/L lecture.
The 10/6 S/L lecture will focus on the build/test part of the project (SP4).
The report on the build/test activity (SP4) will be due 2 weeks later
on 10/20 at 1pm to give you plenty of time--accounting for the two
class days that will be missed because of the Columbus Day holiday.
We will start the Truss Lab with the S/L lecture on 10/20 at 1pm.
If you have any questions or concerns about the new plan, please let me know.
Thank you,
- Ian
