[2024 UA Elections] Announcing candidates and referendum questions; voting opens 8 am Mon 3/18

Hello, MIT undergraduates!

Campaigning for the spring 2024 UA elections has begun. Voting opens 8 am
Mon, Mar 18 and closes 5 pm Fri, Mar 22. Voting links will be emailed to
everyone before that time.

There will be two referendum questions on the ballot, plus candidates
running for the 2025 and 2026 Class Councils and for UA President and Vice
President. Please see this file

Unfortunately, a technical issue prevented many, if not all, students of
the Class of 2027 from receiving election emails and their follow-ups. The
Election Commission has decided to postpone elections for the 2027 Class
Council, but all other elections will proceed as planned. 2027s may vote in
the UA president and vice president election, and may vote on the two
referendum questions. There will be a separate election, with a delayed
timeline, for positions on the 2027 Class Council. We'll let 2027s know
about the new schedule as soon as we can confirm it, and we deeply
apologize for the issues.

The following positions do not have official candidates, and we request
that you write in candidates who you think would be a good fit for these
positions.

Finally, because there is only one set of official candidates running for
UA President and Vice President, we've replaced the debate with a live Q&A of
the candidates. We invite you to attend the live Q&A in room 1-190 this
Friday, March 15 at 8 pm, and bring any questions you have. We will provide
insomnia cookies. The Q&A will be livestreamed
