UA Sustain Survey
UA Sustain is conducting its second Undergraduate Sustainability Survey. The confidential survey should take between five to ten minutes and contains no open-ended questions. Upon completion, we will make a $1 donation on your behalf to an environmental nonprofit of your choice from a predetermined list. You can also pick up a free succulent or reusable smoothie straw on Thursday (12/15) or Friday (12/16) from 10am-2pm in Lobby 10. Finally, you may enter a raffle with prizes including scooters and Patagonias. The results will shape policy advocacy to the MIT administration and help sustainability groups on campus expand undergraduate sustainability opportunities. FILL OUT THE SURVEY HERE BY SUNDAY, 12/18: https://bit.ly/sustainsurvey22<https://us16.mailchimp.com/mctx/clicks?url=https%3A%2F%2Fbit.ly%2Fsustainsurvey22&xid=bd17e1f63e&uid=81007902&iid=4fe3d9dacc&pool=cts&v=2&c=1670901914&h=a15c448d428c44bac772ec146f08424f4297f65b25761faed979cab03ee03e76>.

Finals Week Study Break
During finals week, the MIT Libraries are hosting a study break at Hayden Library to encourage you to refresh and recharge your mind and body. Come relax with some snacks and drinks; we'll be there with an encouraging word and a few special activities.

MIT Climate Clock Survey
The first city to display a climate clock, was N.Y. City, beginning in Sept. 2020 (at the request of Greta Thunberg!) Since then, there have been several other urban climate clocks in Glasgow, Seoul, Paris and Berlin. We believe the MIT Climate Clock is the first University climate clock in the world. Our mission is to educate students and the general public and we would like to spread climate clocks around the USA and the world.

The MIT Climate Clock is a D-Lab project. Our team has been projecting our climate clock on different faces of the Green Building (54) at night for short-term time periods with permission from the MIT Administration since Earth Day 2021. We are not a hack, because have we always wanted this projection to be long-term. The MIT Climate Nucleus, responsible for making that decision, is not opposed to the idea, but would like to see MIT community-wide input to the process, not just follow ideas of one small team. We agree! Specifically, the Climate Nucleus is interested in whether or not a “Deadline” is helpful or not to the climate change message, and if not, what should be the main climate message? To that end, our MIT Climate Clock team has come up with a 3-4 minute survey with this QR code.

We greatly appreciate your taking the survey and sharing your thoughts!

Food Security and Financial Resources
Life as a student can be expensive and navigating the different resources can be challenging. It doesn’t matter who you are; not being able to access enough food to sustain an active healthy lifestyle is an issue that you shouldn’t have to face. If you are a student and are not able to access enough food, these food resources at MIT may be able to help. https://doingwell.mit.edu/foodandfinancial/<https://us16.mailchimp.com/mctx/clicks?url=https%3A%2F%2Fdoingwell.mit.edu%2Ffoodandfinancial%2F&xid=bd17e1f63e&uid=81007902&iid=4fe3d9dacc&pool=cts&v=2&c=1670901914&h=4ac01150b5dd92a32e8cfada5f821f196e28efe52776e8d703218ee6eede5253>
