Bike Repair and Safety Extravaganza by MIT Spokes
Remember that old bike you got from the bike auction that you keep telling yourself you’d fix, but never got around to?

Bike repair and maintenance may seem daunting to do by yourself, especially when you are juggling 5 classes, 2 UROPs, and a varsity sport, but MIT Spokes is here to help!

On Sat. April 23 from 12PM - 2PM, MIT Spokes is hosting a bike repair and safety workshop on the steps of the Student Center.

We'd like your bike to run smoothly and last a long time, as well as raise awareness of bike safety. We will be covering repair and preventative maintenance topics ranging from fixing flat tires to tuning shifters and brakes, as well as answering any bike safety questions you may have.

Please RSVP here<https://forms.gle/mXTwSWsCGLjkqqQk7> so we know how many people to expect.

Food will be served. A bike-related gift will be given to the first 15 participants at each session.

MIT Spokes will bike across the US this summer, teaching STEM to middle-school students along the way. To learn more about us or support our trip, please pedal over to our website<https://www.mitspokes.com/>.

Apply for Experiential Sustainability by April 4!
Experiential Sustainability<https://elo.mit.edu/experiential-sustainability/> is a 3-unit summer/fall class that complements the experiences of summer internships, research experiences, and other projects. The course introduces students to the landscape of industry, society, and government and helps students develop important interpersonal, professional, and leadership competencies along the way. In short, the course provides an opportunity to grapple with sustainability while working in a professional context, bridging the divide between classrooms and “the real world.” This class is open to all MIT undergrads, regardless of year, major, prior experience, or summer plan. Undergrads will be able to earn 3 units of Fall 2022 credit for the class. Note that credit for Experiential Sustainability is awarded in the Fall term, so summer tuition is not required for this course.

To learn more about the class, visit the course website<https://elo.mit.edu/experiential-sustainability/> or attend the Open House on March 30th (3-4pm in Room 2-142). Questions are also welcome by emailing the course instructor mailto:expsus at mit.edu
