Hi Everyone!

Thank you to everyone who participated in UA One, whether you submitted a proposal or brainstormed with us at our Power Hour. It was great hearing from all of you about what changes you'd like to see at MIT. Keep reading to see what ideas you'll see on campus soon!

  *   Very soon, the UA will pilot a Relaxation Room on campus so be on the lookout for details! Undergraduates will have a designated space to relax during the day and take advantage of bean bags, floor pillows and good vibes. Make sure to stop by to relax before the end of the school year :)

  *   We will also be working to figure out how to bring more affordable produce to campus! We recognize that there are limited options nearby and we believe it is very important that students have access to produce.

  *   We will also amplify efforts to rename Building 50. Currently, it is named in honor of MIT's third President, Francis Amasa Walker, who played a key role in advancing the American reservation system, describing Indigenous people as "an obstacle to the national progress." President Reif released a statement<https://www.technologyreview.com/2021/08/24/1030530/facing-a-difficult-history/> last summer explaining how MIT is grappling with his legacy.
