"The Privileged Poor" is a book by Anthony Abraham Jack reveals how—and why—disadvantaged students struggle at elite colleges, and explains what schools can do differently if these students are to thrive. This book was chosen in partnership with FLI at MIT, a coalition of student participants in Class Awareness Support & Equality (CASE), the First Generation Program, and QuestBridge. The author brings personal experience and a sociologist’s perspective to this analysis of social inequity in post-secondary education.

Canonical Gospels all assert that the dead body of a crucified Jesus was buried in a tomb that was empty the morning following the Sabbath. "The Empty Tomb" constitutes a pillar of Resurrection historicity apologetics. But do the various "Tales of a Crypt" cohere into a consistent story? Jim Majors -- a Bible scholar and former pastor -- joins us for the 6th episode of our Course 0 discourse series, to explain why The Empty Tomb narratives might be hollow. Free and open to the public. The event will be recorded. Stay on after for a post-event informal discussion hangout.
