(We’re also always available over email in case you can’t make it.) Find new friends, participate in Game Night for Community Competition points, and maybe even meet some new teammates! Check out the schedule for the week above.

All events aside from the Instagram Live Q+A (@ua_mit) will be held on this Zoom<https://tinyurl.com/hackhype>.

More prizes, you say? You asked, we deliver. Throughout HackHype Week, we will be releasing Sprint Challenges, each sponsored by a different community at MIT. COVID-19 has affected all of our communities in different ways. These challenges are designed to help kickstart ideation around some of the most pressing, unique obstacles that different communities have faced over the last few months to get us ideating before the real Hack begins!

All sprint challenge submissions are due by January 6th at 11:59PM ET here<https://forms.gle/GPrLiZJSYv6bjgM89> and all team members must be registered for the Hack.

To kick us off, we have four challenges from the International Students Association, Interfraternity Council, and the MIT Student Athlete Advisory Committee pictured above. Note that you do not need to be affiliated with the sponsoring communities to participate. Details and guidance about the Sprint Challenges can be found on our website<http://ua.mit.edu/community-sprint-challenges>.

Be on the lookout for challenges from the First Generation and/or Low-Income Coalition, the Panhellenic Association, the Education Collaborative, and more!! To be announced on our social media<https://www.instagram.com/ua_mit/> and website<http://ua.mit.edu/community-sprint-challenges>.

Other MIT COVID Hack Details

MIT COVID Hack weekend is going to be way more than just hacking. We kick off on Friday with a series of chats with President Reif, Vice President and Dean for Student Life Suzy Nelson, and Mayor Siddiqui of Cambridge. We’ll wrap up with five-minute presentations from each team on Sunday afternoon, and a grand closing ceremony where winning ideas will be announced.

Don’t miss out on all the fun and the opportunity to make some real change at MIT. Let’s take on 2021 and register here<https://tinyurl.com/mitcovidhack2021> by Wednesday, January 6!

Happy Hacking!

Best,
