Hi Undergrads,

Hope you all had a restful break!

The UA Committee on Sustainability, in collaboration with other groups on campus, is launching the MIT Undergraduate Sustainability Survey. This survey will inform UA Sustain's efforts, especially in terms of policy advocacy to the MIT administration. Since MIT is currently rewriting its 5-year Climate Action Plan for 2021-2025, your feedback will have a direct effect on the Institute's sustainability landscape.

FILL OUT THE SURVEY HERE: https://tinyurl.com/mitsustainsurvey <https://tinyurl.com/mitsustainsurvey>

The survey should take less than ten minutes to complete. Upon completion, UA Sustain will donate $1 to a charity of your choice (there is a list you can choose from, or you can input your own) and you'll be entered into a raffle for a bike, Hydroflasks, and a Patagonia sweater.

The Byte is a biweekly UA newsletter to inform undergraduates about what's happening in the MIT community.

The Byte is run by the UA which works to improve your undergraduate experience through policy, projects, and events. We're always happy to listen to your suggestions, concerns, and comments. Learn more at ua.mit.edu <http://ua.mit.edu/>.

If you are a sophomore or junior with strong intellectual interests in the humanities, arts, or social sciences, have done consistently excellent work in one or more of these areas, and wish to participate actively in our dinner-seminars <https://mit.us1.list-manage.com/track/click?u=9be039b955f2b6393bc7798d7&id=7f0492b35d&e=1a1e376998>, I encourage you to apply for this distinctive opportunity.

INSTITUTE NEWS
Food Insecurity
Roughly 11% of MIT students say they go to bed hungry at least 1 night out of 7 because they don’t have enough money for food. No student should go hungry and no student should feel like they need to be “really hungry” to ask for help. Student Support Services is writing to simply let you know about resources to help, many for both on-campus and off-campus students. Please visit the websites below, and don’t hesitate to ask for help if you are hungry due to lack of resources. No problem is too small.
