Dear undergrads,

With Banana Lounge almost two years old now, we'd love to hear your feedback on the space and on social space, more broadly:

Here's a quick three-and-a-half question google form about the Lounge: https://forms.gle/UH8NKQkeNe2e8S4cA

We also have posters for leaving feedback in the Lounge. And exotic bananas, including Musa acuminata (AA) 'Lady Finger' (baby bananas!) and Musa acuminata (AAA) 'Red Dacca' (red bananas!) to say thanks. Thank you to everyone who has already left their thoughts.

After four years serving as Chair of UA Innovation, this marks my last day in office and at MIT. I hope our work has been useful and served to help make MIT a better place for you and your dreams.

It is sometimes hard to believe that it was only in April 2018 that Banana Lounge began...a student initiative that started as nothing more than temporary permission to run six little five-day experiments to try and create a little happy place in the heart of campus where we all can work, nap, play, cry, run into friends, chat, and collaborate with each other on our wildest projects.

Hundreds of thousands of student visits later, and over 191,000 bananas served...wow!
This spirit we try to uphold, always. We pride ourselves on Banana Lounge being a space for students, by students, and so we need your help: Banana Lounge benefits from upkeep, help with deliveries, events, and constant work politically and financially to keep it running. We'd love to hear your thoughts and have your support.

After two years of running Banana Lounge, the time has come to hand it off to a new team. You can reach the team at any time via bananalounge at mit.edu<mailto:bananalounge at mit.edu>; they will also be holding events in the coming weeks, sharing how you can get involved and help out in the space. (They'll share more next week)

It has been an honor serving you. Keep up all the awesome,

Yours sincerely,

Malte
