[1] Student Committee Voting

Voting for the new Student Committee on Guidelines for Outside Engagement
and Student Committee on Campus Climate and Policies around Discrimination
and Misconduct is now open online
<https://mit.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_6fjgH0TubIvjlVr> until
Wednesday, November 13 at noon. All current undergraduate students are
eligible to vote. You can find information on the candidates and their
platforms at the following links:

Each committee has 5 spots open for undergraduate students. You can vote
for up to 5 candidates that you feel would be a good fit on each
committee. Your
ballot should reflect your sense of an ideal committee — so consider
selecting a group of candidates that can each contribute unique
perspectives that represent the diverse backgrounds and views on campus.

[2] SwipeShare

SwipeShare
<https://studentlife.mit.edu/s3/money-food-resources/food-resources> allows
students who are on meal plans to donate their unused swipes for usage by
students who are facing food insecurity problems. In the spirit of giving,
I hope you will join your peers in donating meal swipes to SwipeShare here
<https://mycard.mit.edu/student/local_donate.php>.

You can also request three swipes here
<https://studentlife.mit.edu/webforms/meal-request-form#overlay-context=> -
no questions asked. If you need additional meals or would like to discuss
other resources, please call 617-253-4861 to make an appointment or come to
walk-in hours Monday-Friday 10am-11am and 2pm-3pm to talk with a S3 dean.

[3] Student-Faculty Dinners/Coffee

Student-faculty dinner registration
<http://uaap.mit.edu/advising-resources/student-faculty-dinnercoffee> is
open! You and up to 5 fellow students can invite a professor or teacher to
dinner and get reimbursed up to $20 per individual. You and up to 2 fellow
students can invite a professor or teacher to coffee and get reimbursed up
to $6 per individual. You may attend 1 dinner + 1 coffee per semester, or
up to 3 coffees.

Find a group of students and reach out to a professor and ask them to join
you for a meal. Be sure to register your dinner at least 4 days before
attending, and to submit reimbursements by December 17, 2019. This is a
great opportunity to get to know your professors on a personal level.

For more details, check out the dinners
<http://uaap.mit.edu/advising-resources/student-faculty-dinnercoffee> page
on the UAAP website <http://uaap.mit.edu/>.

Warm Regards,

Mahi Elango
