Hi Undergrads,

Hope you had a wonderful Spring Break! Here are a few big events happening:

Help MIT prevent and respond to sexual misconduct by taking the 2019 AAU
Campus Climate Survey on Sexual Misconduct until May 1st. Watch your emails
for an invitation, and learn more at http://chancellor.mit.edu/aausurvey.

The SpringFEST Artist Reveal is this Thursday, 4/4 at 8pm in Lobdell! Come

Licks!

MIT, I Messed Up (MIMU) is an event hosted by UA Community & Diversity and
all four class councils, meant to bring students across campus together to
celebrate our failures, mistakes, and misfortunes. The goal of MIMU is to
show students that failure is common among us, in a genuine, relaxed and
encouraging way. This year, MIMU will be held on April 30th, 6:00 - 8:00 PM
on Kresge Lawn. The evening will be primarily comprised of stories shared
by students, with food and performances from different campus groups
interspersed throughout the event.

Have you ever felt like your productivity and creativity were hindered by
the constant pressure of an environment where “failure is not an option”?
Yet a misstep can happen to everyone.

FAIL! is an event aimed at embracing the deeper meaning of failures and
learning how to make the most of them. Through the stories of personal and
professional life shared by renowned speakers from MIT and Harvard, you
will be challenged to look at failures differently, learning how to accept,
understand, and conquer them, rather than giving up or ignore the lessons
they can provide us with.

Come and join the next edition of FAIL! at MIT, featuring an all-female
speakers panel sharing their personal and professional failures:

- Susan Silbey, Leon and Anne Goldberg Professor of Sociology and
Anthropology, Professor of Behavioral and Policy Sciences, Sloan School
- Amy C. Edmondson, Novartis Professor of Leadership and Management at HBS
- Amanda S. Bosh, Senior Lecturer the MIT Department of Earth, Atmospheric,
and Planetary Sciences

League and founder of MITell) and the Q&A session moderated by Marcia
Bartusiak (Professor of Science Writing at MIT). In addition, Daniel
Jackson (Professor of Computer Science at MIT), will be our special guest
