[UA] Forum on the First-Year Experience on 10/4 (free food!)

Dear Undergraduates,

I hope everyone is enjoying the start of the semester! I’m writing to tell
you about an exciting upcoming forum hosted by the UA to discuss the MIT
First-Year Experience. As you know, MIT has implemented an experimental
grading policy <https://ovc.mit.edu/exploration-in-the-mit-first-year/> for
the Class of 2022, and there are many other changes to the first year in
the works that your ideas can help shape.

For example, do you have ideas for an experiment for the Class of 2023? Or
are you a first-year student with feedback on how this year is going? Or
thinking more broadly, do you have thoughts on the overall purpose of an
MIT education in the 21 st century?

The forum will be run by students, but staff and administrators will be in
attendance to listen to your ideas and feedback. Comments shared at this
forum have the potential to reach senior MIT leadership and create real
change for current and future MIT students, so bring your boldest ideas!

The forum will be on *October 4 th at 7 PM in room 56-154, and dinner will
be served. *
