Hello,

Campus Activities Complex* wants student feedback on various issues related
to spaces they control (e.g. The Student Center). Please fill out this form
<https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeAJCPnq4_vU4L2XDc1slpwixPmH9RFVp8u9TyUlV-AgVsRhQ/viewform>
or
send me an email if you'd like to provide feedback on the following topics:
 - MIT Medical space on West Campus?
 - Event needs not met by current CAC spaces
 - Thoughts on Student Center public spaces

Additionally, the CAC Advisory board meets monthly to talk about things
like this. I've attached notes from a recent meeting to this email - if
you're interested in being asked for feedback on things in the future and
having them communicated to CAC, consider joining
*cac-advisory-board-listeners@
<https://groups.mit.edu/webmoira/list/cac-advisory-board-listeners>* - it
will get only 1-2 emails per month asking for opinions on things like W20
renovations and spaces on campus for various student use.

Finally, CAC would like you to know:
 - there will be some steel drum music on the W20 Steps on Friday, 4/14, from
12 pm to 1 pm.
 - Starting May 1st , CAC promotional space opens for Fall 2017. This
includes W20, Memorial Lobby, and Stata tables/booths; and W20 poster
space/Infinite Corridor Panels.

Student Center pipe burst:
 - Poor communication from CAC about it - next time they'll try to distribute info to more people
 - Cambridge's pipe, but nobody really knew where it was and there were no plans

Stratton Lounge (Student Center, second floor)
 - CAC wants to redo
 - maybe show student organizations off?
 - how do people feel about it?
   - it gets used for group meetings
   - the tables are very big
   - the light sucks
   - it's not bad
 - If you have feelings on this, let me know.

W20 Basement Renovation
 - Card office and a few other offices in the basement are moving to a new hub in E19
 - Tech callers are moving from W31 to the new basement open space
 - Rainbow lounge and new intercultural center are moving to W31 vacancy

Coffeehouse lounge
 - The coffeehouse lounge on the 3rd floor of the student center will be converted to primarily a student lounge during the semesters.
 - It will be card-access to students at night, there will be new furniture as well.
 - Thursday night concerts and Friday night SaveTFP events will remain.
 - During the semester, it will be a mostly student lounge 24-7, except for very infrequent special events like parents weekend that really need the space.
 - During IAP and summer, will continue being an event space rented out by CAC.

Walker 2 dance studio
 - Theater Arts is moving out of Walker in May, releasing some space
 - Dance studio will be slightly renovated and then become available to student groups
 - Other theater arts space in Walker is in flux.

"Dollar Bill" lounge
 - CAC is looking at renovating it.
 - If you have opinions, let me know.

Kresge Little Theater
 - When theater arts moves to W97, they will release a lot of regular reservations in KLT and the rehearsal rooms, so they will be more available to student groups.
