Dear Community,
We write to you in solidarity. In the aftermath of the election, we have recognized the fear our peers and our community have felt in trying to fight for their right to study, to live, and to be a member of this incredible and inclusive community.
We write to you not in that fear, but in solidarity. We believe MIT is a community of distinct values and a beacon of collaboration, rationality, and progress.
And on Monday, November 21, we will stand together to to show the world that we care about those values, and the safety and prospects of our peers, of our students, of our community.
We write to you in encouragement - to welcome you to our peaceful, non-partisan Solidarity Rally, on Monday from 12:00 - 3:00 PM on Killian Court.
Purpose:
*
To shine a light on what MIT stands for as an institution
*
To reaffirm our shared values
*
To be active against policies that make our community feel unsafe
On Monday, we will stand not in fear or in anger, but together in solidarity.
If you are interested in supporting your fellow students, please join our Facebook event<https://www.facebook.com/events/1309115709120443/> and share it with your friends!
