to have your sustainable design showcased at The Trashion Show.

The Trashion Show began in December 2012 and has been held annually since
then, with the intention of drawing awareness to sustainability matters on
campus and getting students involved in forming positive reusing,
recycling, and composting habits. In the previous years, we have showcased
countless talented student designers and models and their brilliant designs
made from recycled and reused materials.

This year, The Trashion Show will take place on *Friday, December 2nd,
7:30-9:00pm* in The Student Center Lobdell. Our theme for this show is
*sustainability
in fashion*. The fashion industry is the second highest waste producing
industry in the world; fast fashion is a growing trend that values quantity
over quality, and it puts a huge strain on the environment. We hope to draw
attention to this problem at this year’s Trashion Show.

Awards include 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place, Most Wearable, Most High Fashion,
Best Craftsmanship, Audience Choice, Best Model, and more! Stay tuned for
more prizes and announcements for speakers, judges, and performers.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis from now until October 14th.
