Greetings everyone,

My name is James Stevens '19 and I am a co-chair of the MIT UA Committee on Community along with Bruke Kifle '19.

"The MIT Undergraduate Committee on Community was founded in the spring of 2015, with the goal of both fostering a widespread and powerful sense of community throughout the undergraduate body of MIT and helping to assure that every member of the undergraduate community has a voice, helping to increase unity among the student body.”

As the committee enters its second year, we look to build on last year’s achievements and do some great things! Working closely with the UA Assistant Officer on Diversity Alberto Hernandez '17 and various faculty, staff and students around campus, we plan to make sure that every student, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, or faith has the opportunity to reach their full potential, feels at home and included in MIT’s diverse community.

We encourage you to apply even if you missed the UA applications from the past week. We look forward to hear from all of you.
