Dear undergraduates,
It is my pleasure to announce the election of the UA Off-Campus
Representative this December. This is a really exciting position for an
off-campus student to join the Undergraduate Association as a voting member
of Council. The position is open to any student who currently resides
off-campus, and who can remain in office for one full calendar year
(January 2016- January 2017). For more information on the Undergraduate
Association Council, please visit https://ua.mit.edu/.
I have attached the packets for candidacy here. Interested students should
return them to W20-401 on *December 7th *at *5pm* to be considered official
candidates. *Please note: This election does not require signatures.* At
this point, campaigning can commence. Official candidates will be notified
on *December 8th*, and voting will begin on *December 10th at 8am* and last
until *December 14th at 5pm.* The winner will be announced on *December
15th. *In order to finish this election before finals, the timeline is
rather quick, but please note that campaigning is allowed throughout the
voting period.
This is a really exciting opportunity, and I encourage all off-campus
students to think about running. It is a great way to involve yourself
with the Undergraduate Association, and some very dedicated and inspiring
people.
As always, if you have any questions about the position or the election,
please do not hesitate to email ua-elect at mit.edu.
Best,
Grace Connors
Chair, UA Election Commission
