Hello Undergraduates,

Good luck this week! Remember *Let's Chat
<https://medical.mit.edu/faqs/lets-chat> is a new resource available to you* if
you just want to talk to someone. Tamar, our wonderful Student Support and
Wellness chair (ua-wellness-chairs at mit.edu), also sent out an *email
earlier last week with other resources available to you.*

*Interesting piece of history of the week *from our UA History Chair, Allan
Sadun (ua-history at mit.edu; add yourself to the
ua-history-interest at mit.edu mailing
list here <https://groups.mit.edu/webmoira/list/ua-history-interest> if
you'd like to receive more interesting things!):

*"In early 2011, UAAP tried to make significant changes to Orientation, but
put the brakes on their plans after widespread student outcry. The Review
Committee on Orientation (RCO) was formed in order to carefully evaluate
Orientation in 2011, deliberate, and suggest changes that should be made to
Orientation for 2012. Orientation 2011 was atypical - there was a hurricane
and a number of things were cancelled - but this didn't stop the findings
of the RCO from becoming the bedrock of the MIT administration's current
understanding of why Orientation is the way it is and what it should be
doing.RCO-related materials may be found
at https://due.mit.edu/initiatives/review-committee-orientation
<https://due.mit.edu/initiatives/review-committee-orientation>. In
particular, the beginning of "Class of 2015 Orientation Survey Results
(PDF)
has a number of key findings. It's worth a look!"*
