Dear Undergraduates,
I hope all is well.
Please note that this Friday, September 25, 2015 is the Career Fair. Further note that it is not a day off from school. Unfortunately, this occurs approximately every seven years, when Labor Day falls late in the year. We are looking into how to prevent this from occurring in the future.
In the meantime, we have been in communication with the Faculty Chair, who has relayed to faculty to have a relaxed day on Friday. An email has been sent to the faculty, and it has been communicated at the Faculty Meeting. However, this is ultimately up to the individual professor's discretion. Accordingly, if you are concerned about your workload on Friday, please be sure to speak with your professor. If you need additional help, or believe that your class is particularly overworked on Friday, please send an email to ua-questions at mit.edu .
Also, please heed the following information about Career Fair:
1. You must register online to attend Career Fair. Please visit career-fair.mit.edu<https://career-fair.mit.edu/> to do so.
2. You will not be able to print your name badge at the Career Fair. It is highly recommended that you get it printed during the week at the following Career Fair booth locations:
Monday and Wednesday: 10 AM – 4 PM in the Student Center
Tuesday and Thursday: 10 AM – 4 PM in Lobby 10
Please note that, unlike past years, you will also not be able to register on-site, so please take the time to register online beforehand.
Best of luck in your career fair searches, and I hope you have a wonderful week.
Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
Matthew Davis
