[UA] Monthly Report to Undergraduates

Dear Undergraduates,

I hope all is well.

As promised in our platform, this is the first of many monthly reports to all undergraduates concerning the operations of the Undergraduate Association (UA). Please find it attached.

Included in these emails will also be a calendar of upcoming important dates, opportunities for feedback from undergraduates on important initiatives, and any additional information that may need to be included.

First, we need your help in determining changes to MIT policies. A Division of Student Life (DSL) Policy Review Committee will be submitting recommendations on various changes by the end of this academic year. The calendar of what will be discussed is attached. If you would like to receive weekly information on what changes will be discussed, and provide feedback on those changes, please sign up on this mailing list (mit-policies at mit.edu)<https://groups.mit.edu/webmoira/list/mit-policies>.

Second, please apply to serve on a UA Committee as a Chair or an Officer at this link<https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1NHdk1eXu6Sb0u-oEeqCpcc_htDkIugoGlJe-ywYiH5s/viewform>! Applications close tomorrow, Sunday, May 3, 2015 at 11:59PM.

Third, as you may know, an earthquake occurred this week in Nepal. I encourage everyone to donate and support the efforts of our MIT-eri MIT Nepali Students' Association in bringing relief to the region here<http://miteri.scripts.mit.edu/web/>.

Calendar of Important Dates

May 8 - Special rules for undergraduate classes go into effect due to upcoming Finals. Consult the MIT Academic Calendar for more information.

May 13 - UA Council Meeting at 7:30PM. Location TBA. For more information, please sign up on the ua-council-listeners at mit.edu mailing list<https://groups.mit.edu/webmoira/list/ua-council-listeners>. A notification will also be sent out that day.

May 14 - Last day of classes.

May 18 - 22 - Finals Week

May 29 - Pre-Registration deadline for the Summer Session.
