Idea Bank: How can your living group improve?
Is your dorm/living group sustainable? Do you think it can do better?
UA Sustainability wants to know!
Tell us what sustainability or energy related issues you believe your dorm/living group is struggling with, so your voice is represented in the report that we will send to the Climate Change Conversation's Idea Bank<http://climatechange.mit.edu/ideabank>.
Please fill out this quick 2-minute survey<https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1bf4DhNWcGV1Sr_kjIzgpGc6zrfVmocM-Yv6bLjDTEvU/viewform> --- let your voice be heard!

Project Spotlight: Dorm Electricity Competition
[cid:78ceb9b3-d525-4b6a-950a-33f901d27eff]

DEC is in full swing with one week left!

Check out how your dorm is doing above; this graph compares energy used per person per day in each dorm over March 2014 to energy used per person per day in each dorm from April 2nd to April 16th, 2015. You want a bar above the x-axis (Congratulations to Simmons and Baker).

Come to our finale on April 28th at 9PM in Lobdell to eat free food and talk about all the electricity you saved. Until then, keep turning off your lights and contacting talktoDEC at mit.edu<mailto:talktoDEC at mit.edu> with proof of your sustainable actions to get your dorm extra spirit points.

Visit our Facebook page<https://www.facebook.com/MITdormelectricity?fref=ts> or website<http://mitdormelectricity.weebly.com/> to learn more about the competition.

Compost Bins in the Student Center!
The Composting Team helped the Department of Facilities and the GSC Sustainability rearrange waste bins and install new compost bins on the first and second floor of the student center.

Here's how to use them:

  * All food goes in the compost bin (yes, even meat and dairy!)
  * All paper products and compostable plastics may go in the compost bin (but if they are recyclable and clean, please recycle instead)
  * No trash (especially styrofoam) in the compost bin

Email mission-compostable at mit.edu<mailto:mission-compostable at mit.edu> with any questions and concerns.
