Why should you eat burritos tonight?

  *   Burritos! These burritos are free and delicious.
  *   These burritos will be accompanied by beautiful sustainability slides. You will learn how to save the world one kWh at a time.
  *   You can get stickers with the above design.
  *   Just by attending, you will earn points for your dorm in the Dorm Electricity Competition.

What is the Dorm Electricity Competition (DEC)?
Between April 2 and 30, UA Sustainability (paired with MIT Facilities) will be measuring each dorm's electricity usage on a weekly basis. The dorm that reduces its dependence on electricity the most and demonstrates the most environmental enthusiasm will win! Why is DEC?
97% of MIT's greenhouse gas emissions comes from building utilities.* We can't immediately change how our campus's buildings are heated or where our purchased electricity comes from, but we can all switch lights off when we leave a room.
In past years, DEC has saved 236,000 kWh in a single month. That's more than 30 cars off the road, carbon-output-wise. Look here<http://mitdormelectricity.weebly.com/energy-reduction.html> for more suggestions on how to reduce your individual footprint.
