Few projects in MIT's history have proposed to reshape the campus more than MIT's rezoning petition for Kendall Square.

Three new commercial buildings between MIT Medical and Sloan (above, top right), an eastern gateway to MIT (right), and additional retail and housing are included in the proposal.

As the discussion continues at the City Council, students and postdocs have a very real role to play as members of the MIT, Cambridge, and Greater Boston communities.
