Apply to Join an Institute Committee

Hi undergrads,

On behalf of the UA Nominations Committee, I'd like to invite you to apply to serve on an MIT institute committee. On these faculty committees, you have the opportunity to work side by side with faculty to develop institute policy, including revising disciplinary procedures, examining student life policies, and determining the date of a student holiday. The committees with vacancies are the following:

Subcommittee on the HASS Requirement (Biweekly, Friday 10 - 1130)
Committee on Discipline Rules Committee (Biweekly, Tuesday 1130 - 1)
Committee on Student Life (Biweekly, Friday 12-2)
Student Holiday Subcommittee (3-5 meetings this semester, time TBD)
Quality of Life Survey (the committee will formulate and examine a survey on the quality of life at MIT)

If you are interested, please send an email to ua-nomcomm at mit.edu (mailto:ua-nomcomm at mit.edu) with:
Your name and "UA Nominations" in the subject line
demographic information (name, class year, living group, affiliation, and major)
A list of which committees you're interested in and why (max 2)
If applicable, confirm in the email that you can make the meeting time
If you have prior experience in student government or in some other relevant way, please do include that information as well.
