Keep applying for UA positions!

Allan Miramonti and Alec Lai for UAP/VP engagemit at MIT.EDU
Wed Apr 6 14:06:31 EDT 2011

Hello,

Alec and I have received a number of good responses to our call for UA
members. We still want to hear from anyone who is interested in a position
on our team next year.

Why should you join us? The UA is MIT's undergraduate student government,
and it is our job to advocate or and better the lives of students on
campus. If you join us, you will interact with faculty and administers to
create new policies and start new projects that keep MIT interesting. You
will have room to take personal initiative and see your projects move from
concept to completion. If you want to step up and be a leader, this is the
place to do so.

The UA has done pretty cool things like create a produce market, start a
shuttle service to Star, get new plugs installed at key study areas, and
generally affect student life policy.

Please see the attached document for a list of positions and their
descriptions.

Applications should include:
1) Your name, MIT email, class year, and residence
2) A ranked list of positions you are interested in.
3) Briefly describe your interests and potential goals for the specified
positions.
4) List any relevant experience or leadership experience.
5) A few availability options for a 30 minute interview.

Please respond to engagemit at mit.edu by *Friday, April 8th*.

Thank you,
Allan Miramonti UA President-Elect
