Fellow undergrads,

I'd just like to pass along a reminder to make sure to nominate
deserving students, faculty and staff for the 2010 MIT Awards
Convocation *by March 19*. Details are below.

Best,
Mike

---

You've seen and done some remarkable things at MIT, now's your chance to
make sure the outstanding people and projects at MIT get the recognition
they deserve!

Nominations for the 2010 Awards Convocation are due March 19. We know
you have lots to do between now and then, so we've made the process nice
and easy:

1. READ the award descriptions at http://web.mit.edu/awards/
2. WRITE a nomination letter (doesn't need to be a thesis)
3. SEND to awards at mit.edu
4. ATTEND the Convocation on Tuesday, May 4, at 4 p.m. in 10-250
(followed by free food in Lobby 10!)

Do you have a great relationship with your advisor? Then take a few
minutes to nominate him or her for the Earll M. Murman Award For
Excellence In Undergraduate Advising.

Check out these awards specifically for undergraduate students:
- Karl Taylor Compton Prize, the highest award presented by the
Institute to students and student organizations in recognition of
excellent achievements in citizenship and devotion to the welfare of MIT.

- William L. Stewart, Jr., for outstanding contributions by an
individual student or student organization to extracurricular activities
and events during the preceding year.

- Association of MIT Alumnae (AMITA) Senior Academic Award, for an
outstanding senior woman who has demonstrated the highest level of
academic excellence through her coursework and related professional
activities at MIT.

- Patrick J. McGovern, Jr. '59 Entrepreneurship Award for an individual
student or student team that has made a significant impact on the
quality, visibility, and overall spirit of entrepreneurship education
and support across the Institute.
