 Hey everyone,

I'm pleased to announce that the UA will be running our popular
student-faculty dinners *both* semesters this year. This program encourages
a group of three to five students and a professor to go out for a nice meal
and serves as a wonderful opportunity for informal advising outside of MIT.
Sign ups are on a first come, first serve basis so make sure to find some
friends and invite a professor. More information and the ability register
can be found at http://ua.mit.edu/exec/facultydinners/. This initiative was
made possible by a group effort on the part of the UA Student Committee on
Educational Policy, the Chief of IT, and the Treasurer.

If you haven't signed up for an opportunity to have lunch with President
Hockfield, please make sure to do so at
http://ua.mit.edu/exec/lunches/before Friday (11/6) at 5pm. As Maggie
noted last week, these small, monthly
lunches provide a great chance to discuss what is going on at MIT.
